Hello list,

I have added Logitech M235 wireless mouse to my debian box. The mouse is detected but pointer speed is too high.

[xinput --list] shows the detected mouse

~~~
⎡ Virtual core pointer                        id=2    [master pointer  (3)]
⎜   ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer          id=4    [slave  pointer (2)]
⎜   ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad       id=13    [slave  pointer (2)]
⎜   ↳ Logitech Wireless Mouse            id=9    [slave  pointer (2)]
But (xinput --set-prop 'Logitech Wireless Mouse' 'Device Accel Constant Deceleration' 2) says
property 'Device Accel Constant Deceleration' doesn't exist, you need to specify its type and format
Default property as seen by xset is
~~~~
#xset q | grep -A 1 Pointer
Pointer Control:
  acceleration:  2/1    threshold:  4
~~~~~
Try "xset m 1 1"
You can also try fractions for param values to slow it down further
Also tried various combination with xset without any luck :-(
How can I then normalize the pointer speed ?
~~~
#xinput --list-props 9
