Differences in ALSA configuration files, Wheezy to Jessie, question

In Wheezy, the index of multiple sound cards is configured in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.

In Jessie, the index of multiple sound cards is configured in
/lib/modprobe.d/aliases.conf.

This is true, isn't it?
