I upgraded to Stretch several weeks ago and that fixed an Ethernet
driver problem. You do understand that while you can insert a newer
kernel it might toss something else into a bucket, so going the upgrade
route is not a totally bad idea, especially for a new user, if it feeds
a need. Ric
