Problem installing GuestAdditions in Debian 8.0 (64bit with Gnome Desktop)

Any help or advice would be muchly appreciated :)

I get the following output when trying to run "bash /media/cdrom0/VBoxLinuxGuestAdditions.run".

Building the main Guest Additions module ...fail!
(Look at /var/log/vboxadd-install.log to find out what went wrong)
Doing non-kernel setup of the Guest Additions ...done.
Installing the Window System drivers
Warning: unknown version of the X Window System installed.  Not installing

Installing graphics libraries and desktop services components ...done.

Host machine: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1
Virtualbox Version 4.1.6r74713 (on a work machine, no option to try latest version I'm afraid).
I have Arch working fine with GuestAdditions installed so unsure if the version of VirtualBox matters.

Below is the contents of /var/log/vboxadd-install.log:
