Indeed, that seems to be the root of the problem. The changing MAC address causes /lib/udev/write_net_rules to create new entries. Pal, what hardware is that specifically? Any idea why it changes the MAC? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
