In Wheezy there is a program called "palimpsest" that gives a nice wide-ranging overview of all things related to disks: partitions, LVM configuration, MD/raid configs, SMART data for individual drives, and so on. It was part of the package "gnome-disk-utility", I think. It seems to have disappeared in Jessie. Does anybody know why? And do you have a suggestion for a replacement? Thanks! Rick
