Automatic partition creation, root partition too small
Hi,
When using the automatic partition scheme, Debian creates a root
partition of about 320Mb.
It maybe enough to start, but this is too small after a while, for many
reasons:
- When the kernel get updated, and the option "generic" has been
selected, it is possible to fill the root partition, and the update
fail.
- When using backported kernels, same errors may happen during the
upgrade.
Whe the root partition is full, the system is then difficult to upgrade,
and manual intervention is often needed.
I think the default size of the root partition need to be expanded to
1Gb. Today, hard drives are big enough for this size.
Kind regards.
