This topic comes up once a year, on half dozen different lists I'm on. It seems to be a religious argument that raises the same level of animosities as reply-to-list vs. reply-to-sender.

Personally, I like reply-to-sender, and I like [listname] in my subject lines, and set up the lists I run that way. It's easy enough to set up in any halfway decent list manager, and it makes it really easy to see list mail, all in one folder, grouped by list. But... as I say, it's a religious argument. Good luck getting things changed on any one particular list.
