Also, club or not, common law criminal fraud still applies.

Well, prove it then. Plunk down your money to sue a "club" that you volunteered to join. Call 911! Email Eric Holder and tell him how you've been defrauded. I bet the FCC and Homeland Security shows up in riot gear and sends the Technical Committee to Gitmo ...in shackles, hoods and waist chains fastened to an iron ring in the floor!

Puleeeze! Right now they have more grounds to sue you than you do them. You have publicly stated that they have committed "FRAUD". That is far beyond "I disagree", which is all that you can rightfully say, as you own and paid nothing, so you have no legal standing, whatsoever, in fact.

Get a lawyer and sue. Be sure that you tell him/her how you have already publicly accused Debian of Criminal Fraud in a public forum.

"If you are a volunteer you have exactly one right: you don't have to do anything. Of course this means you can't make anyone else do anything either.

The various Open Source projects are private clubs from a legal perspective. They have no responsibility to be fair."

...and that comes from a REAL Lawyer and a national legal consultant on Open Source affairs to major companies. He should know. And, therein is the difference between Debian and RedHat. Debian (as a "club") has zero responsibility, ergo no liability nor accountability to you or anyone else for anything. Redhat, as a Corporation, has attorneys by the dozens on retainers, sitting in plush chairs while polishing their nails, waiting for someone to make your "fraud" comment. Ric
