How to avoid mounting of usb drive in two places?

I run Sid. After a recent upgrade a permanently plugged in usb drive is
automatically mounted on /media/usb0/64G_backup as well
as /mnt/backups/64G_backup, even though /etc/fstab with the following line
requests mounting on /mnt/backups/64G_backups : /etc/fstab:
	LABEL=64G_backup /mnt/backups ext4  nofail,rw,uid=1000,auto  0    0
The above worked with the only mount as requested.

It really is not a big deal but I just do not know enough about systemd to
figure out what is going on. Although using debian since the days of potato, I
am neither sysadmin not programmer - just an old guy trying to keep his mind in
trim. Can you please point me in the right direction.
