People, this off-topic thread has dragged on WAY too long. There's a Debian off-topic mailing list, which exists specifically for that purpose - to let Debian users discuss things that aren't directly related to Debian. PLEASE, for the love of $DEITY and to have some compassion for the people who are on this list because they want to discuss and read things pertaining to the Debian OS without drowning in so much off-topic noise that the list is becoming rendered useless for that purpose, TAKE IT TO OFF-TOPIC. http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/d-community-offtopic And no, the fact that the thing being discussed may or may not affect a particular software package that runs under Debian doesn't make it "on topic." :-) Thanks.
