Getting apt-cdrom to work

I'm trying to get apt to install packages from a Debian 7.0.0 CD (just disc 1) I made a while ago.

I mounted the CD, ran "apt-cdrom add" and it seemed to work successfully (it added a line to /etc/sources.list).
When I run "apt-get update", I get six lines of
"Ign cdrom://"...
which is worrying, but since I wasn't sure, I continued on.

I then tried "apt-get install acpi/wheezy", and it says
"E: Release 'wheezy' for 'acpi' was not found".

I have verified that there is a deb of acpi on the CD.
I get this problem both with apt 0.9.7.9 from wheezy and apt 0.9.12.1 from jessie/testing.

What is the next step in troubleshooting this?
