A package deal from Newegg consisting of
1 a Gigabyte GA-E350N motherboard with an AMD E-350 APU
2 G.Skill Value Series 4GB DDR3 SRAM memory cards
1 Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA hard drive
1 iStartUSA case with a 200 watt power supply
After initial very light use the system failed to start - the cpu
cooling fan quivered when power switched on, otherwise nothing.
Returned the motherboard/cpu to Gigabyte where it was inspected and
returned without comment.
Upon return the system started with the case open, failed to start with
the case closed. This happened a second time and then the system failed
to start with case open. After CMOS reset the system started again.
Gigabyte tech support thinks there is a ground fault. (The case is very
crowded.)
With Wheezy running as described above I ran two passes of memtester -
all checks reported OK, program returned 0.
