Show us what you did and what you see. Otherwise I can only say that it works for me. Perhaps the placement is just in a different location than you are currently looking? Perhaps search for a track that you think should be there. Or search for all audio and see where the files are located. $ find /media/usbdisk -iname '*foo*' $ find /media/usbdisk -iname '*.mp3' If the disk space is used then the files almost certainly there. Just located someplace you aren't looking for them. Bob
