RAID broken after kernel upgrade.

After upgrading to kernel 3.9-1 from 3.2, my system will no longer boot. My OS is located on a RAID array, but when the system boots it says something along the lines of "mdadm: no arrays in the configuration file were found" and "root not found". Then it enters busy box. Once in busy box I find that the raid array isn't assembled, but can easily be assembled by using "mdadm --assemble --scan". After exiting busy box it boots normally. I'm sorry about the lack of actual log files here, but I will post some when I have some time. Any ideas? Maybe it has something to do with initramfs? Thanks in advance.
