This looks all fine to me.

Maybe this file has been corrupted somehow?

> Indeed, it's innocuous.

The postinst does rewrite /etc/console-setup/cached_UTF-8_del.kmap.gz
however, which might explain the problem.  Does it help to move that
file out of the way and recreate it with "setupcon --save"?
