You don't need both repo.mate-desktop.org and packages.mate-desktop.org. They contain the same packages.

The error message you are getting seems to be about the Debian repository, not the mate-desktop repository. I note that the repository name contains a typo - deban instead of debian. This should have showed up in you apt-get update as well, but you snipped out the error.
