You can alter the menu options by hitting super and typing "main menu"
and you will surely find it.

Extensions make it pretty damn good. It takes some getting used to.

You can go classic with gdm (the login screen), just select a user and
there is a little dropdown in the bottom left. It is a limited classic
though, and kind of sucks.

Personally I found that once I got used to it the benefits outweighed
what I lost. There was a new way to do everything I might have thought
couldn't be done.
