Perhaps I'm confused, but that's not what I meant. I meant a Free driver
*for* nVidia adapters.

Typo. But I thought that Debian wouldn't package commercial stuff, so I was
assuming that any official Debian package would contain only Free Software.
Perhaps it downloaded the nVidia package silently in the background?
