cannot start gnome screen saver

Good morning,

I recently installed Debian 7 and am having a bit of trouble.  I cannot get the screen saver to work.  While synaptic shows that it is installed, I find nothing in the new really bad GUI to set up the screen saver.  When I try to laund the screen saver manually, I get the following:
