I'm running:
zito@bobek:~$ uname -a
Linux bobek 3.8-trunk-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.8.2-1~experimental.1 x86_64 GNU/Linux

and I also installed:
ii  initramfs-tools      0.110           all             generic modular initramfs generator
from experimental

3.8 kernel only:
Breaks: at (<< 3.1.12-1+squeeze1), initramfs-tools (<< 0.110~)

Dracut is not needed.
