Checked into usbmount. It will automount flash drives and external usb hard drives just fine, but not flash cards using a reader. I'm still looking for a single tool or solution that will handle all external device automounting.
Currently, I have the udisks package installed--daemon and all--in Wheezy 64-bit and trying to write a udev rule or rules to handle the automounting (It doesn't currently), but the devices are recognized and can be mounted manually by root.
Another option with udisks is to install udisks-glue which is suppose to facilitate automounting. However, I'm going to try the udev rules route first just for the learning experience. I've got plenty of time before Wheezy becomes stable to get everything working before abandoning my primary OS--Fedora 12 64-bit--which is long past "end-of-life" support and the problems that causes.
