Grub gone nuts after recent dist-upgrade in unstable
I've got installed:
grub-common 1.99-26
grub-pc-bin [same]
grub-pc [same]
grub2-common [same]
The upgrade rewrote the /boot/grub/grub.cfg file excluding two ext4 partitions
and a NTFS partition on the second HD that is /dev/sdb
The only options currently available is the i386 version of Linux unstable I
had on /dev/sda and the one I'm using to write this letter.
On running dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc I get no errors when selecting the /dev/sda
and /dev/sdb drives but nothing shows up on the generated /grub.cfg file that
would indicate this.
I tried to restore grub using the heretofore reliable Grub Rescatux disk and
indeed it seemed to accomplish the same task as running dpkg-reconfigure
grub-pc
Why do you think the latest grub upgrade isn't seeing the /dev/sdb drive with
its NTFS and two EXT4 partitions? Gparted shows both devices that is sda and
sdb.
I don't know if it matters and I only mention it in case, but I don't use the
KVM module and I was wondering if that could be causing a related problem
with Grub now.
Kind of confounded here.
