I'm currently running 686 PAE 3.2.7-1 on a Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz machine - this one - on a separate install.
They may run on YOUR machine but they didn't on MY machine...until I was pointed to a bug report which concluded an ACPI problem was responsible. The work-around is a kernel param (processor.nocst=1). There are several other people who also couldn't run 3.0 kernels...we all have hyper-threading machines. The problem was also explored in detail on the Fedora buglist.
