I'm not fully sure what causes that error, but if the mirror is down,
try another mirror, for example:
deb http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy main contrib non-free

http.debian.net should always bring you to nearest server, which is up.
