free software for video production

Hola!

I have been looking some at Khan academy:  http://www.khanacademy.org/
and I am impresses!

So the question: What are out there of free software for video
production "in that style", that is, as if
simulating a blackboard, writing with a pen (multiple colours) on
that, while speaking, and then, ....
the video is there!  Also, making  a video of what is happening on the
screen, while speaking!

???
