In the meantime I found that the ath9k_htc driver *doesn't support* ad-hoc mode. Unfortunately I missed this information before opening the thread. I didn't find more details on the rtl8192cu. I'll get an AP and try the ath9k_htc driver in AP mode, which seem to be supported. I will update this thread as soon as possible. Andrew
