Just press the f key for full screen. BTW, mplayer2 is all I use and I
haven't yet found a file it doesn't play, whereas with mplayer, I have
found some files which didn't play very well at all.

less /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main

deb http://ftp.nz.debian.org/debian wheezy main contrib non-free

#deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org wheezy main non-free
---------------8< ---------------------------------------------------
Note "http://www.debian-multimedia.org"; is commented out.

see: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianMultimedia/FAQ

Just type "mplayer filenameorwhatever.mp4" from an xterm.

P.S. The command is still mplayer because it uses the alternatives
system.

P.P.S I don't know whether mplayer2 is available in Squeeze. If not I'd
recommend upgrading to Wheezy for a desktop/workstation.
