moin moin Sian,

AFAIK, there is a command which says how long a process takes to complete. Its invoked with the command to be timed as an argument. Does anybody know what it is?

Do you mean time?

$ time sleep 10

real    0m10.001s
user    0m0.000s
sys     0m0.000s

ciao,
