By which I presume you mean that you can see the app running (whatever
that app is)

As previously stated - this is not a Debian related problem - though it
might be convenient to ask here, because (see link above) facebook don't
want to help and that is the first (and only) place that should be
tasked with fixing your problem.

Suggestion (other than don't use facebook) - shutdown all internet
connections except your browser (and disable any plugins/extensions that
network).
Connect to your facebook page and login.
In a terminal run netstat and look at active http connections.

You *might* get lucky and find the offending app using a separate
connection to facebook - use the /etc/hosts suggestion in the previous
post to block it.
Use whois to determine who owns which connection.
