Sincerely looking for advice about following error:
more Xorg.0.log | grep WW
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
[ 16136.164] (WW) The directory "/usr/share/fonts/X11/cyrillic" does not exist.
This one can be safely ignored, unless you are looking for a Russian font set.
[ 16136.195] (WW) Falling back to old probe method for fglrx
[ 16136.200] (WW) Unsupported ASIC ID 1002:675F:0000:0000 in control file
[ 16136.200] (WW) Unsupported ASIC ID 1002:675F:0000:0000 in control file
[ 16136.200] (WW) fglrx: No matching Device section for instance
(BusID PCI:0@1:0:1) found
[ 16137.250] (WW) fglrx(0): board is an unknown third party board,
chipset is supported
What Brand and model video card is this? What version of the propriatary driver? Does X actually load? can you paste this grep instead?
cat /var/log/Xorg.log.0 | grep -e "(WW)" -e "(EE)"
This will grep for all errors *AND* warnings.
