No. It means that ifupdown is in charge rather than NM - as long as you have the interfaces listed in "/etc/network/interfaces". See my previous email.

Bob showed a good way of using nmcli in a previous email. I've used it with connection names in the past but never with UUIDs but it should work if you've set up "/etc/network/interfaces" and "/etc/NetworkManager/..." properly.
