HA Load Balancer

I have two smtp servers on two separate boxes, behind NAT.  Depending on what connection url is supplied, I would like to forwarding it to appropriate local server.  I understand, load balancer does this.  If this is the ideal way, what load balancer would you recommend?  If not, what would be the ideal way?
