..try "apt-get update; apt-cache search linux-image " for better 
and up-to-date ideas, such as e.g. celsius:~# uname -a
Linux celsius 2.6.39-rc5-amd64 #1 SMP Sat Apr 30 05:48:55 UTC 2011
x86_64 GNU/Linux
