I try to mount it by command line as root:

# mount -t vfat -o umask=0000 /dev/sdb /media/pen/
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so
#

In my notebook it was mounted normally. Automatically!

My Desktop is a Multiseat (multihead) system with two monitors.

# cat /etc/group
