Yes after doing some more research I figured it out it's _really_
old.

Strange, I thought that java had been unequivocally released as free
software at some point.

Thanks very much.  I'll give it a try.  My guess is that if the web
page was so old that it's mentioning j2se, it's probably not going to
work.
