ssh screen terminal freezes in squeeze while downloading through wget

Hi,

I am running

2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Wed Oct 20 00:05:22 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

and screen version is

ii  screen                              4.0.3-14

I ssh to this server using

ssh -t root@172.16.50.198 screen

And while downloading using wget the terminal freezes

What could be the trouble?
