What happened to 'permissions.rules?' [Re: Why does /dev/rtc0 belong to group audio in Lenny but not in Sid?]

Thanks, that answers the immediate question.

Which rises the larger question...

Sid does not seem to have anything that corresponds to Lenny's /etc/ udev/rules.d/*permissions.rules

Any idea why? Any idea what has replaced it.

In Lenny, "ls -ld /dev/audio" gives

Ugh. This is not really desirable.

But in Sid, it gives

sid:~$ ls -ld /dev/rtc0
crw-rw---- 1 root root 254, 0 May 10 23:51 /dev/rtc0

Anybody know why?
