VLC no longer plays .flv and .mpg files

Hi

VLC has suddenly, and for no apparent reason, stopped playing *.flv and*.mpg files. I believe that I have all of the right codecs - w32codecsis the latest and kmplayer plays such files without problem.


Anybody else experienced this recently and/ or is there a likely fix?
