Just for reference, I gave up and simply used a testing
debian-installer (as of today Fri Dec 4 12:40:41 CET 2009).
Installation went fine this time.
Setup:
- DELL SAS 6 on a DELL Precision T7500
- 1 disk + 4 disk RAID0 (configured in SAS setup utility)
debian-installer properly showed one disk and the "DELL Virtual Disk".
Using LVM I grouped them together and simply installed everything on
this single LVM group.
After reboot, lshw now gives:
