Re: How to activate VESA mode on boot-up?

Hello Frank,

Correct, 2.26-2-686 out of the box

doesn't work. All I get is the list of standard VGA modes. When I type
"scan", the screen goes blang for about a minute but the system
doesn't find any additional modes.

None of these work. I mean, none.

Used to work fine with the -k7 kernel, it doesn't with the (newer) -686

I've been all over this, read all the docs and stuff. It's probably
time to file a bug against the kernel. Although it's strange that
exactly nobody else has this problem.
