Try this:
/usr/bin/gnome-mount --block --verbose
--hal-udi=/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/[some_value]
[some_value] is a HAL UDI given to you by:
/usr/bin/gnome-mount -v --display-settings --device=/dev/sda
