Report the bug.  These things don't get fixed until they're addressed.

Well, there are already many memory-related bugs.  See esp 452706.  The
complainer was running out with more than 1 GB of memory.  The suggested
action was to try FF3 in experimental.
Like I'd want to run an experimental web browser given the propensity of
them to have security issues.

How can s/w that's out of beta be "experimental"?

Iceweasel 3.0.x was, and OOo3 *is*, stored for a while in Experimental because of the Lenny freeze. ("They" didn't want packages not destined for Lenny to accidentally slip into Testing.)

Note also that the description of iceweasel is that it is lightweight.

yeah, if you've got a couple gig of ram.

With 8GB RAM and a 64 bit kernel under a 32-bit userland, my iceweasel has grown to VIRT 2088m and RES 1.9g. (Of course, I've got probably 250 tabs open...)
