I'm not sure what's causing this, but it seems to have happened after I used it to give a presentation at the college I go to. I had a power-point that was created by Impress, and had an mpg file that was created by the program tovid (tovidgui) from a youtube (flv) video I obtained from youtube. When I tried to open the tovid created mpg file, I received a message stating that the system was unable to determine which program had created this file, and, thus, would not open the file. Since then, I've noticed that all files on the usb-key are read only, even though my user is the owner (and the group) of the files. I can't edit or even delete files from it (even with root user). Does anyone know what may be going on? Or, can someone suggest something I can do to better diagnose the issue? I'm not actually sure it has anything to do with the school presentation (which was given on a Windows computer -- I have used this usb-key on other Windows computers before without an issue).
