does somebody know if a kind soul made a (free) version of
(microsoft) *avisynth.dll* for debian linux?

mplayer tells me now:
mplayer http://www.myspace.com/djchess05
...
Win32 LoadLibrary failed to load: avisynth.dll, ...
See:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2007/11/msg01751.html +
follow-ups.
thank you, sjoerd. i saw and read those mesages already. adding the -playlist option makes the search-mechanism repeating itself
endlessly in the konsole-window.

another idea maybe?

Ah, same here. But www.myspace.com/djchess05 is not a media file that
mplayer can play. The proper media file appears to be so deeply hidden
away in the site that even add-ons that usually find it, don't see it
here.
But why don't you simply use the media player in that site. Works here.

yes. i'll do that. flashplayer lets me listen to the same songs i heard planting trees in de south-sahel. i keep searching. maybe i succeed in getting to work the newest version of avisynth tar.gz (3.0?) allthough it depends on a newer version of nasm than lenny can offer.

thanks again,

steef
