On Lenny the module list in initrd is managed by /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf: MODULES=most You can replace "most" with "list", but then you have to put your own list of modules in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules. I don't know if this works the same way on Etch. Regards, TW
