fstab entries remove devices from nautilus

Hello,

I just noticed that if I configure some device in /etc/fstab then it
does not appear in nautilus' "places" anymore.  Is this the intended
behavior?  Can this be customized so that devices can appear both in
/etc/fstab and in nautilus?
