Re: Re: Fwd: 2.6.26 and 2.6.29 kernel image , Couldn't find valid RAM disk image starting at 0

I removed and reinstalled the initramfs-tool and the package which include the 2.6.26 image. During the configuration procedure I saw the following msg:

update-initramfs: deferring update (trigger activated)
Setting up linux-image-2.6.26-2-amd64 (2.6.26-15lenny3) ...
Running depmod.
Running mkinitramfs-kpkg.
Deprecation WARNING: use update-initramfs(8)
Examining /etc/kernel/postinst.d.
run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools

I tried to add the MODULES=dep and the initrd.img update but the problem is the same.

I made a clean lenny dist inst. to and another em64t arch pc and the 2.6.29 vanilla kernel find and use the initrd img.

When the another test machine booted correctly I copied manually the kernel and initrd image to the failing system and rerun lilo but I got the same booting error. ;-(
