That's what I'm saying: there's no option for it.
$ sudo update-alternatives --config iceweasel-javaplugin.so
There is only one alternative in link group iceweasel-javaplugin.so: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/lib/amd64/gcjwebplugin.so
Nothing to configure.
$ apt-show-versions sun-java6-plugin
sun-java6-plugin/testing uptodate 6-14-1
So, the Sun plugin is installed, but it isn't part of the alternatives system for some reason.
