Has anyone else seen gnome stop automounting USB flash drives after
upgrading from 2.6.26 to the current 2.6.28 kernel in sid?

The kernel detects the device ok, and I can mount it using the
gnome-mount/pmount/mount using either the hal udi or the device file as
appropriate.

If I boot to 2.6.26, it works ok again.

I see a similar problem with a 3G wireless modem. Network manager can't
connect through it using 2.6.28, but if I boot to 2.6.26, everything is
fine.

Any thoughts?

Mine quit working after an update last week some time. I can't get it to work with 2.6.26 or 2.6.28.

It seems that the devices are being detected and will mount through the "Computer" icon on the desktop. Gnome-mount just does not seem to be mounting them. I can mount them by calling gnome-mount /dev/sdgX in a terminal.

I'm also having a problem with CD's.

I have not been able to figure out what is wrong.
